Hrithik is mostly irrelevant these days. I don't even know when was the last time he had a solo hit? Kites and Guzarish both bombed badly. One a commercial failure, the other a critical. Maybe Agnipath but that was what 2-3 years ago too?

So yeah idk what you're talking about. Didn't bother to read the OP or other responses though, going by the title alone here.

There was a same kind of craze and public hysteria for Ranbir as there was for Hrithik. Just that his film didn't do well.. because it sucked. So honestly, these numbers and verdicts don't say much. I don't think HR is that big of a star currently.

Anyone who is perceived as fresh in his times can create hysteria. You never know. Flash in pan is always there.

As much as I think Hrithik is overrated and a bad actor, what KNPH did for him could never be recreated. People went crazy for him, he is the posterboy for overnight stardom. We haven't seen that with anyone else, although much better actors like Biru and Veer came a long no one can touch his stardom except for the khans but they are on different league.

I don't think anyone can beat the hysteria that surrounded Hrithik. He was the full pacakage. His debut coincided with Abhishek who was simply awful, and the total opposite to Hrithik. I think Hrithik ticked all the boxes Abhishek didn't and people went craazy over him.

Off point: He is a damn good actor. How can people say he can't act and hams?! Koi Mil Gaya, Lakshya, JA, Guzaarish anyone?
