Yes both did have sexy numbers, but the difference is Sridevi was NOT KNOWN for them. She wasn't known for her breast-pumping dance moves or sexualized dancing. I think to some extent every heroine has done that. I don't think anyone is discounting Sridevi, but the point is that she was recognized for her talent.

Lets look at other actresses, Kareena, Aishwarya, Priyanka- they have also done their fair share of hot and sexy items. But that's not what they will be remembered for...They will be remembered for their talent that was shown in movies like JWM, Devdas, Raincoat, Chameli, Barfi etc. Madhuri's fans may think she has "iconic roles" but IMO she doesn't. Shes a shitty actress.

Sridevi was called the Female Amitabh at one point. Movies would started with her being signed first, THEN the ACTOR!

Madhuri was just known for her thumka's, dancing and vulgarity, I feel sorry for all the kids who wanted to be her. Its confirmed that, that is what she is known for, if it wasn't, why is she trying to recreate it every single episode of Jhalak? shes doing it every week on that show, trying to dance like how she used to, nothing wrong with that, but you would have to be delusional to think that she wasn't known for that. If she wasn't, why is she trying to imitate it at age 50.

Do you see other senior actresses dancing on their old songs in the same manner? Look at Hema Malini, she still performs today but with grace and dignity. You'll never hear about in the media or hear publicity - She is the REAL dancing Queen of India - no promotion, no media attention. no desperation for publicity- just pure dance. What this Madhuri aunty is doing is trying to make bucks off of her rusted legacy.

Hema Malini and Sridevi are a class part and IMO Madhuri was and is just trashy and desperate for attention. While Sridevi is celebrating her film in Japan, as it is the biggest Indian Release there - Madhuri is one some reality show recreating her old moments over and over again to the point where you actually hate her.

Lol its necessary cos few things left unsaid otherwise. Madhuri is trashy and desperate cos she is a judge in reality show and wears western clothes,n tries to do wester dance when she doesnt know how to. But Hema and Sridevi are classy cos they behave so well in society after wrecking a home.
