Was mahira even in the bhuj schedule. I thought she was suppose to be at bhuj but there was no sight of her. Either they hid her very well or her part in the movie is complete.

They've shot most of their scenes together already in the last schedule.

I meant last schedule as in when they shot in May/June last year, when the garba dance sequence happened.

For this current schedule I have no idea what's going on. Heard there was a lot of chaos due to protestors on sets for SRK's intolerance statements and so the day the song shoot was supposed to happen it got cancelled 😭😭.. they might just stick to doing it in Mumbai now. Mahira didn't even make it to Bhuj because of security reasons.

Mahira Khan: SRK's Wife, Right-hand Man In Raees

The second schedule of Raees has wrapped up and details of the film, which have been under tight wraps till now, have slowly started to reveal. We're getting to hear about the film and the actors' roles and Mahira Khan reportedly has a very unique and important character in the movie. Her character helps SRK character reach his tentacle of success in Raees, so she is his wife but more of a right-hand man than a wallflower.

"The film is based in the backdrop of the Muslim ghetto in Gujarat and Raees is essentially a story of this man who becomes powerful. The heroine's role is also a prominent one - that of SRK's wife, a Muslim woman," said a source close to the movie, according to Filmi Beat.

Although Mahira was ultimately chosen as the lead actress in the film, she wasn't the first. Huma Qureshi was apparently approached before her.

"They thought Huma would fit the bill and also they wanted a fresh pairing of sorts. But then, they got Mahira on board because the character required the actress to have a certain kind of mannerism and lingo and being a Pakistani, Mahira totally nailed it," said the source.

We have absolutely no doubt that Mahira will impress her fans and make hundreds of thousands of new fans once Raees is released. And now that the film has completed its shoot, it's only a matter of time before we find out how!
