At a recent awards show overseas, the organisers, who love Anil Kapoor just like we do, kept announcing how the actor was the face of India in Hollywood. At one stage, they took things too far and called him an Academy Award winner.
Two other Kapoors (names withheld) were sitting in the audience.
mAnd one of them, who has a terrific sense of humour, piped up and said, "Arre, Anil ne Oscar kab jeeta?Did I miss it?" To which, the older Kapoor replied, "He didn't win an Oscar. Slumdog Millionaire, the film in which he played a game show host, won eight Oscars. I guess that is why this emcee made a mistake."
