me too i was seriously disappointed..then i read the whole thing and i was like thank god he rejected the role 😆

KKHH and DDLJ are no examples. They were Dharma and YRF, big banners.

It is not just about script but also status quo for a star like SRK.

He did not refuse Hirani but left midway?😲 Why? Why he did not feel like sticking around?

Anyway, why would a guy like SRK do Race 3 when his arch rival has done a bigger franchise called Dhoom 3?

I was going to say, oh why did he refuse. I like to see him in a negative role again but then i saw Race 3.😆

Aditya, Karan and Farah were launched by SRK. Aditya could be considered a safe bet since YC was still huge back then. But Karan and Dharma Productions were nothing before KKHH. Same with Farah. All three were newcomers and SRK started with them.

Other recent examples are Shmit Amin, Amol Palekar, Anubhav Sinha. And like I said, he's working with two low-key directors now.

For the Munnabhai series, he hurt his back. He didn't want to ask Raju to wait another year. So they parted. But he worked on the first script a lot. In fact, even the second one was offered to him. And both movies credit SRK with a thank you before the beginning. 3 idiots, there was a misunderstanding with VVC. So SRK backed out.

He only goes for scripts and not for names or status quo at all?

He accepted CDI because he loves hockey. It's his favorite sport. If he hadn't hurt his back during his college days, he would have been a hockey player. SRK didn't want to do Swades. Gowarikar narrated him Jodha Akbar, Lagaan and Swades. SRK chose Jodha Akbar. He liked Lagaan but he wasn't ready to produce it all by himself. Gowarikar;s father wanted him to make Swades with SRK. Till now, even Gowarikar has stated that they did the movie for his father.

And no, SRK doesn't go for either scripts (sadly) or big names. He'll say it openly: he only wants to work with people he feels comfortable with. People who he feels nice with. No matter how good a script is, he won't do it if he doesn't like the people who are making it.

If this news is true, then I would think the franchise probably turned him off. Bringing him into Race would just seem awkward. Plus, he's already doing a negative role in Raees.
