most attb belongs to in this genre but in 90's 😆😆Originally posted by: Rambo.Rajkumar
Because all you are after is dishum dishum 😆You have to recall even till date most highest grossers were non-action masala eg. HAHK, 3 Idiots, MEA, Shree 420 and many more. Dhoom3, Sholay and Gadar being an exception. Most ATBB belongs to romantic/genre rather than masala action. Just coz it's Sooraj Barjatya films you cant expect it not go with current generation's audiences. & if you haven't heard his interview than go read it as it says he is done the script keeping in mind of today's audience. Also Vivah was a Blockbuster in Multiplexes era. It was only 8 year ago. It is Salman's most anticipated film whether you agree to it or not. People still watch HAHK and MPK a lot and it's been proven by the daily TRP ratings, Youtube views and DVD sales of those films. Also in overseas Rajshri films do tremendously well. MPK was first Super Hit overseas while HAHK proved to be an ATBB overseas. Look at masala films verdicts overseas 😆Also family's will be running for a film like this. Film doesn't need to be made in keeping mind of what interests today's audiences. Did anyone expect Queen to be the biggest hit this year? Did anyone expect Jai Ho to underperform? Did anyone think Yash Chopra's last film JTHJ would be criticized heavily despite it was made keeping in mind of today's audience? When Sooraj Barjatya made HAHK, everyone said it wont work. All trades even had lost hopes so hence no exhibitors were ready to upgrade their cinemas. Film released in only one single screen and it reached to the max theatres by following week. Ran on 56 cinemas till 1996.So who knows? I am sure and hoping you'll be proven wrong. It's about time we see Salman doing something else than just action.
