When SRK and Gauri were pushing for marriage, it eventually came to a point where Gauri's mom either threatened to commit suicide or did end up taking some pills. It's in his biography. If only she knew at that point of time, that she had absolutely nothing to worry about.

I love how supportive and amazing Gauri's parents are. Gauri will not attend half the events, and SRK always says how it should be her choice. But his in-laws are always present pretty much everywhere. From every single KKR match, to every event where Shah is getting honored, to every single summit/conclave, to every single Delhi event. They are always present. And SRK almost always calls them out also. It's so nice that they have been able to give him another family after he lost his.
