Aamir cares about business and numbers like any other star. Perhaps even more, irrespective of his claims about not bothering about BO in his interviews!

Years ago he had defended business of Love Love Love and Tum Mere Ho, claiming that former had done better than Amitabh's Toofan and latter was a hit (interviews to Star & Style magazine).

He'd defended business of Akele Hum Akele Tum also and still defends Mela saying it did "really well" in certain pockets!

Why do you think he kept working with Indra Kumar's useless films? Only because Dil had salvaged his position at BO! It was certainly not "quality" of scripts!

Why did he work with Dharmesh Darshan again? He was hoping to score a success in a mass entertainer again after Raja Hindustani!

He is competitive. He too is scared of failure perhaps after seeing struggles of his family after failure of his father's films as a producer. And because he rarely got great commercial success earlier, so he does want to hold on to power that records of Ghajini and 3I gave him.

All 3 Khans know they're on top and want to make the most of it in any way they can.

Release date matters a lot to them. Diwali for SRK, Eid for Salman and Christmas for Aamir.

Aamir clashed TZP with Welcome only because he knew both films had different target audience and BO expectations anyway wouldn't be that high from a film like TZP plus he had more credibility after Lagaan and RDB than an Akshay Kumar so acclaim and good WOM were a given. Anything else that the film gained afterwards would only be an added bonus and that's exactly what happened with TZP.

Expectations from him and Raju are staggeringly high after 3 Idiots and more from him after Dhoom 3 (BO wise), no wonder he's using all tricks in book to maximise PK's potential.

No problem. He did what SRK and YRF had done for JTHJ. 😛 So much for being different!

Let him do anything. I trust film to be good thanks to Hirani...that man can never go wrong! Ultimately it's Hirani's genius that will make the film trend well. Or else irrespective of taking over screens, films struggle to impress audience like JTHJ struggled!

Nothing new , he is the most cunning, manipulative and pretentious BW celebrity in my opinion . I am just angry due to the fact that i am being deprived of the choices i wanted to have in the holiday season and it will be spoiled just like last year.
