Everytime I think these leaders cannot possibly say something more inhuman and insensitive on this issue, I am proved wrong. Don't know what more to say now- over the last few months have read so much of shit spewing from the mouths of these leaders and gurus. Horrendous, horrendous people. They don't deserve a place even in hell.

Any wonder UP is such a hotbed of crime against women?

This simply goes to show how strongly male-dominated and male-oriented our society is...that leaders can get away with such statements so boldly, knowing that no one can do anything about it.

Mulayam is targetting his voting population...young men and boys and by saying that its okay, boys make mistake when they rape women and should not be punished harshly, what he is actually trying to say is that, these men are my largest voting base and I have to appease them, by whichever means possible.

PS: Mulayam is know for his minority politics and the very fact that he made this statement on rape is because 4 of the 5 men involved in the Shakti Mills Rape Case were Muslim and 2 of them have been ordered to be hanged.

The real tragedy is that INSPITE of the fact that they have said something so so wrong (I don't even have words now) and that they have NOT done ANY substantial work till now, they will still get votes cos they play minority politics. Sabse pehle toh un logon ko maaro who are voting for them.
