lol i love a kereena W*F statements but she said nothing dumb here lol

she does not know the language hence she won't work in that industry. simple. Why call her stupid for it?

I am a teacher and tomm. if someone tells me to start teaching spanish i won't say yes to it.

I feel ppl just love calling her a bimbo even when she says nothing stupid lol

i don't know who suriya is either. big deal. When you are not interested in certain sections of the industry you are not exposed to it. living in america i can't tell you more then 5 hollywood actors name on the top of my head

I don't think she meant to be rude..I think she was trying to say I don't know who he is..as in if she was offered the role she would know about him and the director.

Am just giving her the benefit of the doubt because am a fan..I also don't know who he is..but only Bebo knows if she meant it in a rude way.

I love the work that's being done in South Indian languages as well as in Marathi and Bengali.

I was going to let this go, but now I need to get this out.

How likely is it that you love the work being done in South Indian languages, but don't know Surya? Yes, I know, she could've watched one or two films. She could've watched a few Telugu or Malayalam films and not Tamil. But in order to say you love the work being done in South Indian languages, ideally you would say it after being aware of a good amount of the work in those industries--otherwise you are just a poseur.

lol I can relate to that..I also live in America but never seen any of Meryl Streep movies and don't understand the hype around her. I def watch and know more Bollywood movies and actors.

Surya was in the news a lot a couple of years ago when he worked with RGV. Also Aamir's Ghajini was a remake of Surya's film.
Surya's not some obscure actor. For someone like Kareen'a who's been an actor for over 10 yrs, she should know who he is.

I don't think that's fair..just because your an actor you have to know about Surya? She has no interest beyond Bollywood and Hollywood actors..same with me..I don't know much about Surya..and I don't think it's fair that Bebo has to know him just because she's an actress.

it's not like she didn't know who the president of India is.

The only movie Kareena is doing, Singam 2, the original stars Surya. Surya was in both Singam and Singam 2. 😆

its possible that she has seen surya's films but just dosent know that the particular actor is surya...similarly, her statement on south films might be based on the originals she saw when remaking them in hindi chup chup ke, kyun ki, bodyguard...(mostly mallu films)...

most of the people who saw raavan dunt know that the guy playing ram was vikram who btw, has a national award...most of the people who saw aiyaa dunt know that the guy was prithvi...bear in mind that these films were flops so most of the people might not even have watched them in the first place...surya's rakth chartira was predominantly a telugu film where major parts of it were dubbed in hindi...so it wasnt really a "sit up and take notice" film for him in hindi...but these are all huge stars down the south

if their contribution towards hindi cinema was not that significant, then its not necessary that people working or interested in hindi cinema know them...

she obvio knows dhanush coz she saw him performing and he made a much bigger impact in hindi cinema than the former 3...
