What's Bad: Ileana D'Cruz is shamelessly plastic and the film's melodramatic moments are let downs.

A large part of why Shahid cannot bloom out his best is possibly because Ileana is insanely superficial and so plastic that you won't recognize her as the woman who put up a spirited act in Barfi. Incessantly high and so sweet that might risk diabetes, Ileana doesn't show a swell in a single frame.

Ileana D'Cruz was a painful distraction. Not a flattering actress but quite a faulty one at it, probably Varun found it easier to win due to the lack of caliber on her part. Her chemistry with Varun wasn't exactly something to boast of either. David Dhawan's actress like Karisma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon were known for their zest and D'Cruz didn't quite match up their level.

and its even worse when a movie has decent review overall but particularly the actress gets negative reviews! Its like your the bad part of a good movie

Illeana is another actor/non actor whose career is reaching a dead end despite being barely 2 years old in the industry!

sonakshi CAN act! Illeana CANT!

so its sad when an actor like sonakshi wastes her talent! Illeana on the other hand should just call it quits!

Ileana can act but she is director's actor rather than natural actor... She is worse when she is handled by a director that can't bring best in actor! That's what I have observed, she was brilliant in Barfi because Anurag Basu was there to guide her in other two films I don't think director is known for same

The problem is llleana doesn't do well in these kind of commercial films..she comes off as very mechanical and well plastic. It's sad because she was so good in Barfi. She just needs to stay away from commercial films. Sona does these roles better than her.

She was ACTING in Barfi , Sonakshi wouldnt have been noticed against Jhilmil and Barfi either 😛

Not like such roles deserve Meryl Streep. 😆

She can act provided it's a good role and good director. David Dhawan is hardly the kind of director who extracts performances from actors. He's too busy with his slapstick comedy .

I think IIeana left a mark in Barfi..to be honest I liked her performance more than Ranbir's and PC..maybe because her character was so simple and yet she still stood out. That's pretty hard to do esp when both Ranbir and PC were playing characters with disability.
