Is SRK finished? Will DON save him? - Page 3

yeh bcoz he does only chopra's and johar clan movies, as an actor he is finished. though he showed he is alive in SWADES.

😡 I am sorry but when has age ever been a barrier...look at AB who is a brilliant example...and just because he is getting old doesnt mean he is losing his acting talents...anyone who thinks that is being silly...

Personally...I think people are desperate to see him fall...they cannot deal with the fact that he is still the King Khan...all I have to say to those people is GET A LIFE!!
Deal with it!SRK is the best and will be for atleast the years to come...
Proof are the movies that he is getting...would farhan akhtar cast him if he did not think he would do justice to the role???

Srk has always been my favourite and I am sure to say that that isnt going to change no matter what nebody says or how well his movies do...

😆 That is one solid fan of SRK !!!!

I have loved this guy ever since his Fauji days. He was my first major television crush....😳 and I felt exactly like these 12-15 year olds feel 😆. Abhimanyu Rai aka SRK juggled for space in my adolescent heart along with Sachin Tendulkar and Wasim Akram......😳

So when he burst into the scene in Deewana when people were already writing him off as another TV aspiration gone wrong......I was somehow sure that this guy would make it. I loved Deewana, watched it umpteenth of times, and so did others.

Darr surprised me, Bazigar saddened me, and DDLG and KKHH stamped him as the ultimate romantic.

However, one thing that started getting clear was that he did not have too much of a variety to fall back on. He had something like 10 expressions, and he kind of uses them by rote in any given film.

hence when it's an emotional scene, SRK brings on expression number 3, when it's funny scene, SRK has expression number 5. He has to portray grief - expression number 8 hazir ho........😆

But the greatness of this guy does not lie in his acting. he is infinitely limited in that field and he is perhaps too far behind to do anything about it.

HOWEVER, what this man has never ever shied away from is trying different things. He had the guts to do a Darr when it was unthinkable for regular actors wanting to establish a saleable image do that kind of a role. Amir was the original choice, and Amri refused to do the film as he felt at that time it would hurt his image. Yet, Amir portrayed a similar role in the much more darker movie Earth- 1947 where he turns from a reasonable jolly great guy to a cold blooded insane killer. But Amir did it when he was completely sure of his place in the industry. SRK's move, had it backfired, could have finished off his career. So he had the guts to take the risk, and it paid off.

He tried to be different both in Dil hai hindustani, Dil se and Ashoka. he did not really succeed, but his dedication and tenacity always shone through.

I firmly beleive that when it comes to reinventing, this guy would yet again surprise everyone. My bet is, as soon as the hero image stops selling, scripts would be written where SRK has something diffferent to offer.

As of now, it's selling, and though Kank has come to many as a great dissapointment especially on a performance scale, it's still selling. However, this time,it's not SRK alone who is drawing audience. Anhishek has a huge hand in it as well.

So perhaps his seemingly eternal charm as a lover boy is diminishing. But SRK is not going to get stuck to the rut. if someone in teh world actually gets moving, it's SRK. We will just need to wait and watch.

PS: I don't like the concept of Don.....I can't imagine anyone other than Big B playing it.......it's a highly foolish move on RGV and SRK's part.....

SRK did not get his start because of the Chopras or Johar. SRK started in TV and worked his way up. If the Chopras and Johar didn't believe in his capabilities then in fact they would not be where they are today either.

yes!!!!and he started with bazigaar darr and all those neg role he has done so much in life , so many diff roles and the badshah title is fit for him
