From a churan brand named after the show to winning Indian of the Year Award, Comedy Nights with Kapil has taken ace comedian and host of the show Kapil Sharma to new heights. And if all this wasn't enough we hear that a group of unknown people are trying to cash on the popularity of the show by selling fake passes of Comedy Nights with Kapil.

Creative director of Comedy Nights with Kapil, Preeti Simoes went ahead to tweet about the scam, " Guyz need ur help!!Plz spread de word dat no one shud PAY for passes to ANYONE to watch CNWK shoot..itz a scam!"

When contacted, Kiku Sharda who performs on the show said, "During the shooting of a recent episode we learnt that someone is taking money from people to make them attend the shoot of our show. Few people from the audience came to us and informed that they had actually paid money and bought passes to be a part of the show. The people who are running this scam are charging Rs 8000-10000 from innocent people to make them watch the shoot and there is an additional charge of Rs 10000 if they want to ask a question and appear on TV. It's a scam going on and I would like to request people to not believe them. On behalf of the entire Comedy Nights with Kapil team, I would like to say this to everyone that no one needs to pay to watch the shooting of Comedy Nights with Kapil. It's free but only by invitation."
