I wasn't sure of the order of events, which is why I wasn't sure of the impact either. They said they found debris, life jackets, etc. floating around, which gave me an impression that people did try to swim or find a way out.

Anyway, I agree with what you said. Some people just love to overreact on this forum.

May God bless the victims. Ameen!

I know you didn't mean it as it appeared! at times we end up saying some things in a rush! may be we can say you weren't wise enough with the words but it happens with every one. Your intention was clean!

and yeah people are a bit emotional on this issue so you know.. anyway, take it easy! 😊

Yes, I agree, I said that in a rush. Perhaps, I should have been more careful. Anyway, take a look at this one - this is the latest one.

http://daily.bhaskar.com/article-ht/WOR-mh-370-mystery-why-is-malaysian-airlines-in-a-hurry-to-declare-the-passengers-de-4559731-PHO.html

Quoting an excerpt from the article.

"But still, how can the authorities be so sure that there are no survivors? Experts say, after 17 days, they doubt rescuers will even recover the bodies of MH 370 passengers.

Is it fair to declare all passengers dead even without having searched the Indian Ocean? Is it right to come to a decision even before finding the black box? On what grounds has the Malaysian Airlines announced that the plane has crashed and has no survivors? Is it the pressure on the authorities due to which they made such an announcement?

Many such questions are arising even when we have entered the third week since the plane went missing. There are still many conspiracy theories that are valid as there is no definite proof of the plane plunging into the Indian Ocean."

Roshan do you feel there are chances of a survival? I hope there are but it would totally be a miracle if that happens so

the relatives are saying but may be because they are still in denial- you know how it works!

but yeah they should at least search the ocean first before claiming anything! im sure they will already be on it!

I am hoping. I have a strong feeling that some of the bodies might have floated towards the land, although I might be coming off as too ambitious. But as they, you are not declared dead until your body is found.

No bodies = no confirmation.
