Fair enough, Kozy. I was only speculating based on the facts given. As I said, different websites have posted different versions. Not to mention, bloggers have started speculating the deal too. I wasn't sure of the order of events, which is why I wasn't sure of the impact either. They said they found debris, life jackets, etc. floating around, which gave me an impression that people did try to swim or find a way out.

Yes, I agree, I said that in a rush. Perhaps, I should have been more careful. Anyway, take a look at this one - this is the latest one.

Roshan do you feel there are chances of a survival? I hope there are but it would totally be a miracle if that happens so

the relatives are saying but may be because they are still in denial- you know how it works!

I am hoping. I have a strong feeling that some of the bodies might have floated towards the land, although I might be coming off as too ambitious. But as they, you are not declared dead until your body is found.

No bodies = no confirmation.

On Monday, a Chinese IL-76 search plane reported seeing "suspicious" square white objects in the southern Indian Ocean that could be debris. Here is a photo taken from the plane, showing an object in the sea.
