that's wat I don't understand, jai ho crossed 100 crores, and gunday grossed 80 crores in domestic BO, which is a 30 crore profit, and its still running in cinema houses.

I mean is BOI the official BO analyst? Because even taran and other analysts give figures aswell, they are saying gunday is a success and a hit.

Jai ho did 113 crs. but its a semi-hit , Gunday has done around 80 so far . These two movies were sold to distributors at a high price .

BOI hasnt updated the status of Gunday so there's still a chance.

adding 20-25 crores made by the music and satellite rights means that overall gunday grossed 100 crores, that's enough for the distributors to make a profit, also it did very well worldwide aswell.

anyway i'm glad that gunday did good business.

Why not? It has every chances of becoming a hit, its second week is slated to be fabulous and bewakoofian isn't much competition this week so it can very well collect. Plus its a small budget film, 30-35 crores net will get it the verdict!

30-35 crores net will give Queen Average verdict.

acc to BOI gunday collected around 73-75cr it collected nothing from 3rd week with such a humangous release size 73cr is very less!!! just like jai ho it was sold to a huge price and had a record release so 110cr is not good enough

note: Gunday wasn't sold to any1 its a pure Yashraj product they distribute their own films worldwide

according to taran and other sources gunday has earned 80 crores, and it did earn in its third week and is still running in cinema houses, so I guess people will just choose to believe whatever analyst they want.

any1 cares about taran verdicts? he gives every film hit or ATBB

secondly acc to BOI gunday collected around 74cr so they ill base their verdict on 74cr not 80cr

The recovery from theatrical business till now is around 39-40 cr from India business and 10-11 cr from Overseas business which means that the movie has almost recovered its costs from theatrical business only.
