KJo even "encouraged" Sonakshi to take up more films like Lootera on KWK. It's funny because he makes it seem like he's into that kind of cinema yet his films are more or less candy-floss films with his favorite faces. As a producer, I think the only time where he actually chose talent over anything else was with Wake Up Sid with Konkona and Ranbir. As a director he's pretty ordinary. I think all of these new actors like Sonakshi or Ranveer..they can really just benefit from his films on a commercial level..otherwise, it's not like as a filmmaker he has much substantial to offer..neither can he extract the best out of his performers.

Amit Trivedi never being recognized for his work in these award shows is just blasphemous...I can't even find a reason as to why not. It's like asking why wasn't Lootera nominated anywhere for its brilliance during this year's award shows? ...you'll just go crazy trying to find a valid answer. 😆

Karan has always been like that, he always stuck to his favourites.



There are lots of big names that have never worked with Karan Johar...like Aishwarya Rai for example, she hasn't even starred in a production of his and shes like the most popular actress of Karan's generation. I don't even think Vidya has worked with him.

He sticks to his usuals, SRK, Kajol, Rani, Preity, Kareena etc. And now from the new lot he seems to have Sid, Alia, etc.

He'll praise lots of people to the skies, he's praised Aishwarya, Kangana, Vidya but in terms of working with them he'll always shy away.

I also find his compliments really insincere and fake. Hes just saying it to please the star and their fans, im sure he thinks everyone is crap except for people he likes.

Everyone said everything. ..kjo is kjo...but I think apart from srk he is never worked wid anyone un-good looking or not-a-model or star kid..all have connections. .

Amit trivedi won lots of awards for DEV D...his later on work wasnt AS amazing and there were better albums in those years i guess...so thts fair enough...

No clue about Akki-Rani.

Amit Trivedi deserved some awards last year for music. Both KPC and Lootera were fabulous. Not sure why Pritam won...

Karan's praise for Lootera/Queen has nothing to do with Sonaksh, Ranveer, or Kangana...but rather that they were produced by his best friend Anurag Kashyap and Ekta Kapoor. He pretty much has set people who he works with: his industry BFF's, or super popular A-listers who can bring in the money. If Sonakshi and Kangana prove to be as popular as say Deepika, then he will work with them too.
