well i didnt like ishaqzaade...mainly because the "romance" felt really umm...rapey...especially the part where arjun's character ditches her after they consumate their marriage...it kinda felt like he did rape her because he consumated their marriage to prove his dominance over her and prove a point...i found it regressive that parineeti's character would warm up to him without any remorse from his side..., arjun's character never really seemed to have a consionce or a realization that he was wrong...he just helped parineeti coz him told him to...so i didnt buy into the love angle...

Ram leela is OTT and everything, but that is the design/genre/mould of the film...its a typical SLB film like HDDCS or devdas where the OTT ness and melodrama are part of the genre...its stupid to expect realism in this when the intent is clearly to be stagey and dramatic ...the songs and the sets and costumes were beautifully concieved and choreographed...so i didnt mind that at all...atleast the love story in ramleela didnt feel icky or regressive. I like ram leela waayy better...
