Before you start thinking otherwise, let us clarify that there is no movie called Dostana 2 being made with SRK and Salman in the lead. But what if director Tarun Mansukhani decides to make Dostana 2 with SRK as one of the male leads? In that case, who do you think he should cast as the other male lead?
This exactly was the question posed to Tarun by none other than SRK at Tag Heuer's event yesterday night. SRK who was hosting a mock quiz session with directors Tarun Mansukhani, Kunal Kohli and Puneet Malhotra, asked Tarun, "So if you were to make Dostana 2 and cast me as one of your male leads, who would you like to cast as the other male lead?" And before poor Tarun could speak up, the assembled elite audience screamed in unison- Salman Khan- loud enough for Shah Rukh to hear. While Tarun understandably didn't go with popular opinion and refrained from taking Salman's name, there was no doubt that popular sentiment demanded the reunion of Salman and Shah Rukh onscreen. In fact, with both the Khans now entering their own second phase of Dostana post their Iftar party hug, we feel Salman and SRK would make the perfect pair if Tarun decides to make Dostana 2.
But the question is will he make one? Tarun answered the question himself when posed by SRK. "I would be directing a film but it is not 'Dostana 2'. I am not making 'Dostana 2' right now. But now it's become an ego thing. So I will make 'Dostana 2' some day,"
Well, let's hope the famous Karan Arjun jodi with their renewed Dostana will share screen space, some day.
