I don't think any of Deepika fans...or any celebrity or any critic ever called Deepika ...Meryl Streep...the most i heard was...that Deepika has improved as an actress...did a good job in RL and CE...which is true...where has she been overrated as an actor??

Her stardom is also not overrated...If people say that she is ONE OF THE BIGGEST stars...then that she actually is...

So I am not actually understanding how she is overrated...

i think Deepika from Raam Leela is on par with the Ash from HDDCS. what saved Deepika in Raam leela, the flamboyance, chemistry, avg acting etc etc, is what saved Ash as well. take off ur fan glasses and watch that movie...Ash makes you cringe. she also makes me cringe whenever i watch Taal. Devdas was good. it only took her 20+ movies to improve.

This industry needs better set of lead actors! Rani, Priyanka and Kareena were there to balance other non-actors. Yet most popular ones were Ash, Kat and DP. Now Alia, Pari needs to be given better chances. Hopefully we can see a No.1 actress who can actually act keep that position for a sustained period.
