I haven't see Highway so I can't comment or pass judgement on Alia's performance, however I've seen soty so I'm obviously going to form an opinion based on what I've seen. Like I said, Highway's promos look fab, as does Alia's performance.

How are they trying to make Alia happen? Why is almost unanimous praise for one performance mean there is a major conspiracy to make her happen. Many critics who praised her in Highway panned her in SOTY.

Could you elaborate more on your criticism? What did she do wrong?

For example in SOTY she was screechy, came off as an unrealistic caricature and didn't show any emotional range. What was wrong with her performance in highway.

She is still very young and looks young.

But age has no bearing on whether one is a good actress or not. One need not even have a certain look.

She is 20, so there is nothing wrong if people find her attractive.

I don't get the need to wish ill on someone! If you cannot wish well, at least don't wish ill. You don't like her. Don't watch her movies. Diss her performance and move on. But in the end your choice.

I'd like to see her and many others do well. Competition makes the industry better and gives us audiences better performances.

IMO it appears to be more bitter dislike for her personality rather than her performance.

I love Alia. I am glad she is getting good reviews for Highway. 😃

My topic, my opinion, my view and my choice. I can judge her on her personality, performance, face, feet, toenails, breast size...Its MY OPINION. And why is everyone getting a wedgey when it comes to judging Alia based on her off-screen personality. If members of this forum can make hate topics against Katrina, Deepika, Kareena, or Ranbir, then why cant someone do it for Alia?
