I understand that people have disdain pertaining to Kareena and Saif in general, so unless they're saying shit about themselves or criticizing themselves, most of their statements will be used against them.
Yes, Kareena says the dumbest things sometimes, but it's unfair that an opinion is taken and thrown at her face with so much disdain.
Especially an opinion that I believe is a legit one. If people didn't know this was coming from Kareena Kapoor, and people knew nothing of Saif Ali Khans' personal life or any statements he made, people WOULD agree with the fact that Saif is better suited to English movies than most actors.
Not coz of some stupid superiority complex.
Not coz of the accent (that's dumb, as if all Hollywood actors have an American accent)
But coz of the culture he grew up in and the language he is most comfortable with (LANGUAGE, NOT ACCENT)
Why is it that Saif rose with the URBAN COOL DUDE roles?
Why is it that Saif was completely rejected in the 90s in those hardcore desi movies?
Why was his rise with a film like DCH that in many ways was a contemporary urban, multiplex style of film-making?
Why do directors like Tigmanshu Dhulia constantly say that the biggest challenge for Saif in Bullett Raja was to correct his body language which naturally is very urban and English?
Or Vishal Bharadwaj saying that it was a challenge to take Saif and throw him into an element that was so opposite of his persona?
Why is it such a big deal if Kareena voices an opinion that is NOT putting anyone else down, that is NOT derogatory or spiteful in any way? I understand getting annoyed with her when she used to say she doesn't have time to watch Hindi films, even her own. But how is this bad?
