'The super-hero series is here to stay'

Rakesh Roshan is aghast at yet another childaping Krrish, but says he can't stop making films because of it

On Monday, eight-year-old Shivam jumped down from the fifth floor of a high-rise apartment in Patna. This was an attempt to imitate Krrish's flying prowess. Luckily Shivam survived and is now recovering in the ICU of a nursing home in Patna.

Given this kind of reaction, would it be wise for director Rakesh Roshan to go ahead with the third part of the film? "We're definitely going ahead with the next super-hero film, although it may not be my next film. Right now, we're having several brain-storming sessions," said Roshan. "The super-hero series is here to stay."

Roshan, however, sounded aghast yesterday. "Krissh was made with the noblest of intentions. Even the film's harshest critic cannot deny that. How could we've known there would be such tragic side-effects? I'm aware this is the fourth or fifth incident of a child hurting himself while imitating Krissh," he said. "It's always the children in the 5-10 age group who get influenced by the super-heroic stunts. It's up to parents and other members of the family to make their children understand that what they are watching on screen is make-believe and the stunts must not be attempted. Even when the Superman series started, kids got carried away."

even though its responsibility of parents to take care of children , but bcoz of our work, if someone is getting harm, and ur giving excuses that this always happens, this shows that mr.roshan is not thinking about the negative side.

if my work is responsible for something, i would take care to rectify it.

mr.roshan my suggestion to you, im sure u r planning a sequel to krissh, that before the credits of film starts , hrithk roshan or any actor who plays such roles, give a small brief idea that all this work is fiction and no body should do it, mind it, no use of putting in words, bcoz childrens dont read, but would somewer it may help if actors at start of film, says this is notright, and it should not be done, i think this much was expected from mr. roshan. hope he does this in his next movie, and no children loose their life or harm themselves.

one thing is that we have to think what our work affects on society.
