Industrywalla: Why Isnt Deepika Padukone Committing to Ranveer Sing

While it's quite obvious that Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are seeing each other, the two have not come out directly and spoken about their status. While Ranveer has, in the past, given interviews that clearly indicate his feelings for her, Deepika has chosen to be a lot quieter about it. That has resulted in people speculating about why exactly she's keeping this on the down-low, and MissMalini reader moonshine even posted a comment on a previous post of ours asking, "Why do you think [Deepika] hasn't made up her mind? Is she seeing anyone else?" We posed the question to Industrywalla, who wrote back with the following answer.

Industrywalla says: Deepika is suffering from the "once bitten, twice shy" syndrome. She has realised how the media vultures swooped upon her after the breakup with Ranbir Kapoor and understandably doesn't want a repeat of that.

She's playing it safe because she doesn't want to add another name on her romantic resume. In fact, she categorically told Ranveer to refrain from any PDA or talking about her in the press. The only little flirting she encouraged was during Ram Leela, and, if you notice, she has taken a big step back after the movie's release.

You have to realise it was very important for Dippy that Ram Leela did well at the box office. It was her way of telling everyone - even Ranbir - that she can deliver an equally big hit on her own. There was a lot at stake with RL, and the film's success proved beyond any doubt that DPad was the star of 2013. As for Ranveer, it does not look like she's going to change her stance anytime soon as far as her public acceptance of their relationship goes.

Also - and here's a doozy - I have been hearing whispers from mutual friends that there is a slight possibility (slight being the keyword!) that Ranbir and Deepika may get back together. I believe the chances of this are very bleak, but I know for sure that there is chatter and speculation amongst some of their industry friends that this may happen.
