Okay here's my take on the movie..
Going into it i had high expectations as it was a Dhoom movie and it had Aamir Khan starring in it. But once it was released i read a few bad reviews and my family who went on Saturday told me it was rubish, too long and way over the top. So my expectations came down a few notches.
So yeah, i went on sunday and the showing was totally booked, so we had to wait an hour for the next showing, Went into the cinema hall and it was again houseful, we had to sit literally in the first row!! the only time i've seen it this busy here was when Don 2, Chennai Express and Dabangg 2 released.
onto the movie itself, it started off well, Aamir's entrance was excellent, Abishek/Uday's not too much.
Katrina's entrance was very well done, she owned the dance/song/audition thing she did. Loved it.
The twist before the intermission was good, would have been much better had i not known beforehand, someone on this forum ruined it for me 😡
the twist towards the end where Sahir pretends to be Samir (i think) was excellent.
I didn't like the ending though, seemed forced and wasn't even emotional.
Things i liked about the movie
Aamir Khan, he was amazing. Stole the show completely. 👏
The twists and chemistry between both Samar and Sahir was beautifully done.
Katrina looked beautiful, and she is an amazing dancer, why have i just noticed this?!
Uday was pretty good in this, found him hilarious at times.
The police cars crashing scene was great.
That white cop who helps Abishek and Uday was smoking hot 😊
Things i disliked about the movie
Way too long, they could have easily chopped off 30/50 minutes, it would have made such a big difference.
It didn't feel like a Dhoom movie, more like an all action Aamir Khan show.
They didnt't show a single bank robbery.. W*F?!
They didn't have a single fist fight between Abishek and Aamir
Abishek was made out to look like a joke tbh, failed and got embarrassed everytime he tried to catch Aamir.
Too many chase scenes..
Katrina Kaif's role, very disapointed, was looking forweard to her having a big role like Aish and Esha had in the previous Dhoom's. In this she was just an extended item girl.
The ending was a bit silly, they got caught pretty much out of the blue.
The script could have been a little better.
Overall i thought it was good, had it shown a robbery or two, had a few fight scenes and been half an hour shorter it would have given it a better review.
