Dhoom 3 was promoted well. Promos were playing on all channels every now and then. They had brand tie ups too with soft drink, mobiles, tyres, tubelight brands. The cast visited different cities, gave interviews to news channels and later movie channels, launched D3 merchandise and had live chats online. If this is not promotion then what is?

YRF kept this film in news since the day it was announced. Photos and videos from shooting were ciculated everywhere. The stars gave interviews to media in US even when shooting of the film was underway.

Aamir Khan movies do great in US since Lagaan and he's on different level since 3 Idiots there. When D3 was shot in Chicago, team interacted with fans and media then even more craze had to be there.

Is Dhoom 3 also releasing in non traditional territories like China, Korea, Hong Kong, Brazil etc.? If it is, then for sure 3 Idiots overseas record can be broken. Non traditional markets are a big factor why MNIK and 3I have top overseas collections.

Promotion of the film was good. They only didn't appear on telly soaps otherwise they were everywhere. Newer song promos of the film have begun to be shown from today across all channels.

Its insanely popular here on t he east coast. they have shows every 15 mins in the evening and all most all of them are full.
