Dhoom 3 is the Big Release around the Corner and touted as one of the biggest of the year and in all certainty the last. Trade expects Dhoom 3 to break existing records and set new benchmark at box office. So, what are the records that Dhoom 3 is currently chasing at the box office. Dhoom 3 chasing Records Set by Krrish 3 (Biggest Single Day, Biggest Grosser, First Week), Chennai Express (Opening Day, Opening Weekend, Worldwide Grosser) and 3 Idiots (Biggest Overseas).

List of Box Office Records Dhoom 3 Chasing -

1. Opening Day - Chennai Express - 33.1 crore nett.

2. Biggest Single Day - Krrish 3 - 35.9 crore nett.

3. Opening Weekend (3 Days) - Chennai Express - 93.65 crore nett. Around 100.15 crore nett when Thursday Extended Paid Preview is included.

4. First Week (7 Days) - Krrish 3 (All Language) - 161.26 crore nett.

5. Biggest Grosser of 2013 - Krrish 3 (All Language) - 232.5 crore nett (Expected Lifetime).

6. Biggest Grosser of All Time - Krrish 3 (All Language) - 232.5 crore nett (Expected Lifetime).

7. Biggest Overseas Grosser All Time - 3 Idiots - $ 24.5 Million (Gross).

Looking at Film Release Buzz and Advance Booking Report, Dhoom 3 should take Historic Start at Ticket Counters from Tomorrow. That means all box office records are in danger right now as Tsunami is ready to strike.

Totally excited and hope thye film met the expectation we want agood film and for me its good to see new records to make 2014 much bigger and interesting

I kind of agree with him. What reviews will this movie get... Dances were great, everyone looked beautiful, action was awesome and the special effects were at par with Hollywood...that's it. This is no path breaking, acting oriented movie. It is an action thriller and it will be a BB.

lol this is the most inaccurate thing i read all day
you need will need to convince the audience you are the cops/dancer/the thief etc you cant just depend on special effects/makeup
which is why movies like chandni chowk, raavan (and more) failed because characters were not convincing.
i doubt just doing dancing and special effects will get you there

LOL some of these 'reviews' are hilarious. Suddenly Dhoom is a masterpiece. Why? Oh because Aamir has deemed it worthy of being associated with him (amazingly intelligent individual that he is). And all of these sheep follow Aamir's lead; if Aamir's in it, it's a masterpiece end of story.

Next year Aamir will release two films (max) and I can tell you now they will be masterpieces. They will redefine Indian Cinema. In fact they will be better than anything Hollywood, Britain, Japan, and South K release that year. Guaranteed.
