Not a good idea attacking such a huge project that an actress is very much a huge part of.

Recent reports have suggested that Kareena's signed a contract for this film, which she hasnt done very much for earlier films.

And Johar wouldnt backstab her in this way. Ousting her from this film would have been the final nail on their friendship.

Both Deepika and Alia were rumoured to replace Kareena. And in my opinion no way was this Deepika or Alia's PR at work. I think both actresses were used as pawns by the media and studio PR.

I know right? I think it was the latter. I pegged from the minute this rumour came out that it was Karan and Dharma PR using Deepika and Alia to publicise the movie(and put it in the news) especially to take the negative focus away from the end of Hrithik's marriage. Folks forget that directors, producers, and studios also put out loads of fake rumours about numerous top actors and actresses doing their movies when they know it is not true as a means to add attention to the project. It happens all the time in the business.

Why would it be DP's PR? She's already flying high. She already has movies lined up for next year and she's already (allegedly) the highest paid actress in Bollywood. It's not like she *needs* Shuddhi.

I think this was planted to generate buzz for the movie.

I guess we'll never know! 😆

Industrywalla: Is Kareena upset with Karan Johar?

Kareena Kapoor Khan might have been sweet to Karan Johar on his chat show, but buzz is that the actress is quite miffed with reports that a tabloid carried about Deepika Padukone replacing her in Shuddhi. Sources reveal that an upset Bebo called KJo to ask if people from his team had leaked this news to the media.

Of course, Karan assured her that there was no such effort made by anyone from his team. He even took to Twitter to clarify this rumour. He confirmed that Kareena Kapoor is very much a part of Shuddhi.

The film was supposed to go on floors this December. However, it has been put on the back-burner as Hrithik Roshan is travelling to the States to take care of his medical condition. Work on the film will now only commence next year.

Well, we hope all's well in tinsel town and Shuddhi takes off to a good start.

Seems like Kareena was the first to see the news and contacted Karan to ask him if he was the one spreading the rumors. So it makes sense why Karan tweeted about it so quickly because Kareena called him and she was upset.

If Kareena hates Deepika..I wouldn't blame her at all. News like this of Bebo being replaced make her look bad even if it is false. Seems like Kareena's rivals use to be Bebo and PC. But now it's Deepika.
