Buzz is that Deepika Padukone and not Kareena might be paired with Hrithik Roshan in Shuddhi

Mirror was the first to tell you about Karan Johar's attempts to reunite Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor on screen 12 years after Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. He had managed to pull off the seemingly impossible task and signing the two for Karan Malhotra's Shuddhi. But, a year on, there are rumours that KJo is now in talks with Deepika Padukone for the same film.

Though Kareena maintains that she is doing the film, the buzz is that after the box-office debacle of Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, the filmmaker is thinking of a opting for a more saleable Deepika. Seems Kareena is also not keen on giving bulk dates for Shuddhi. That is the reason she had earlier opted out of Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram Leela and had been replaced with Deepika . A sources close to the project have confirmed that Deepika had been contacted by KJo. "It's true, she has been approached . However, she still needs to read the script and take a decision." If Deepika takes up the offer, it will be the biggest replacement of the season as the pairing of Hrithik and Kareena was the main talking point of the film.

If this happen then I would officially hate Deepika 😆

A lot of people predicted this.

Fortunately or unfortunately, in Bollywood you are only as good as your last movie. sadly GTPM was a disaster of humongous proportions.

this was bound to happen. KJO is a businessman, and he has all the right to replace Kareena with a more bankable actress. He has been more than kind to her. She seems to be making no effort to improve her film choices anyway.

I think shuddhi is based on immortals of mehula .shiv parvati story . If this is true deepika will play warrior princess.

I don't think this is true though...Deepika has Window Seat and the SB film to shoot. Shuddi starts in July, she wouldn't have dates.

IF somehow it is true, then whoa, KJo isn't that loyal of a friend as I thought...dumping Bebo after she's spoken publicly about the film is rude. I guess he's just being a producer.

Anyways I still don't think this is true at all. The director Karan Malhotra had favorited a tweet on twitter that said 'He can't drop Bebo, she's signed a contract' 😆 Saw it a few weeks ago.
