please its an insult to salman and srk fans that aamir is compared to them. last 10 yeasrs all of aamir co~ stars have performed better than him and really who gets outshined by katrine in a 2 min promo. that is just pathetic.

Wont compare their acting ability but without doubt Aamir's script choice is way better than anybody else or had been better since Sarfarosh. There may be one or two odd movies now and then which had left me disappointed but most of the time I was pleasantly surprised after watching these movies. And sadly for SRK apart from Swades and Chak De he had hardly done a movie in the past decade which makes me wanna watch it again and again. In fact I left watching his movies in theater after torturous RNBDJ and prefer to watch them later when their DVD print is available for download or when they come on TV. And similarly for Salman - he is just stuck with masala genre for 4-5 years now which was entertaining first but plain torture now. It is not that they can't pull of something different but as someone pointed they prefer working with friends and box office numbers over giving something truly remarkable and cherishable to Indian cinema.

Even in Ra.One SRK was utterly disappointing..Comparison with Aamir is unfair indeed IMO.

They're the three Khans, they will be compared and contrasted to each other till they kick the bucket.😆 That's a given. People should just make peace with that fact. So no I don't feel offended. Why would I? Aamir has a better filmography than the other two anyway.

In my opinion Aamir Khan is the best Indian actor at present and it clearly shows in his movies regardless to their BO status. SRK has so much potential but does not live up to it with his movie choices and Salman on the other hand does not even try to do something different

No, but he's often called the best actor in BW or India. I've seen both. Even this topic says, if not the best actor. to ever grace the Bollywood screen. That's what's annoying to me, that he's often praised as the best in India or Bollywood, as if he's the best actor ever in these industries.

My opinion why Aamir is rated so highly, that also comes with being a artist. It has been his script choice since Lagaan and been a risk taker.

All Khans are on comparable level. What was Aamir Khan doing earlier? Sticking only to college lover boy roles when SRK did Darr, Anjaam and Baazigar?

If there is a time when SRK and Salman are doing more conventional roles then there was also a time when Aamir was slotted too.

SRK and Salman's stardom is such that it overshadows everything else. And there's always a tendency to try to dismiss big stars as lesser actors.

If box office doesn't matter then why did Aamir do Ghajini and why's he signed Dhoom 3? For some really solid acting?

Comparisons are done on all counts. One can't negate box office and talk only of acting to score a one up and vice versa.

Getting success playing oneself is also not easy. Not everyone can do that. Aamir can't do that because he has no charisma or distinctive personality to score super succes by just playing himself.

The Khans have their strengths and weaknesses each. Neither of them are like Amitabh Bachchan who was top notch actor, biggest draw at box office and most popular among all sections of population.

Aamir does good films since Lagaan particularly. Acting wise all Khans have their share of good performances. Box office and popularity added in fray, SRK and Salman are ahead of Aamir. Overall they're a comparable trinity with no clear winner or one man industry type phenomenon.

Well said esp the bolded part, i get annoyed when people say aamir dont care on BO..all stars do!! Yes he might be more versatile, but stardom wise there is a reason the other two Khans are way ahead as there is some appeal there..and in earlier years aamir did movies that werent so great ..but yes he learnt quicky it wasn't working and started a trend to do less movies..and take your time, presently the other Khans too are doing less so they dont overdose their audience and make them hungry to see you bk onscreen!!

Plus no one can be chulbul, others tried in someway but audiences only want Salman as that!!

And when comes to romance like in exoctic locales its SRk they lap upto

Aamir has always been a notch above the other two. They can compete with each other for box office numbers as to who the mightier khan is. Aamir is beyond that race.

Aamir has always been known for quality, not just now but even in the 90's with gems like Akele Hum Akele Tum, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, Dil Hai ke Manta Nahi, Sarfarosh, Hum Hain Rahi Pyaar ke etc. This films might not have set the box office on fire but they are much superior quality wise than what the other Khans were churning out. He kept it going in the 2000's with a lot better box office numbers with the rise of the multiplexes but Aamir has always been quality conscious.(some duds notwithstanding)

In closing, Aamir is way beyond this petty race of being the number 1. He believes in quality and usually delivers which is good enough for fans like me and the box office in general. Compare SRK with Salman. Aamir is a league above.

Acting and script sense (since Lagaan) are different but there is no one who is controversy-free or a totally good human being.

Just because Aamir has a cleaner image since last 3 years it doesn't mean he's controversy free. His blogs, personal life, credit controversies etc. are all there.

Those days of stars being controversy-free ended in 1940s maybe.

5 years ago Aamir's own father and brother were giving interviews against him to media.

He's lucky he's made mistakes at a time when there was no social media that made stars' blunders trend for days.

He mellowed down or as they say "sambhal gaya" in time compared to other Khans, by that standard he's indeed having a better perception than other two.

All Khans have equally rang birangi controversies if their entire record is opened up.
