Really sad! Hope everyone involved here is able to come out of it, as much unscathed as possible in the long run. After all the kids are just growing up and have a full life ahead of them...

I am still not able to believe this happened.. the first ever interview of HR which I had read is now coming up in my mind.. he had spoken so much about Suzanne then...

Call it my over optimistic mind or my stupidity in still hoping for a happily ever after ending.. the sort which happens in films and stupid romantic books when a couple goes upto divorce court but backtracks at the last moment...

Shit.. their kids are so young.. it was such a beautiful family.

Am not the biggest HR fan but this is still heartbreaking. 13 years is such a long time.. and they were childhood sweethearts too, right? A lifelong equation has gone wrong somewhere. This is just sad.

Always a downer when a marriage breaks up. But it's better to separate and try and find happiness elsewhere than to stay together out of some sense of obligation with resentment and animosity building. Wouldn't be good for either of them or their kids. Good luck to both of them going forward, I have feeling they'll both land on their feet.

I have always been a HR fan (and probably still will be) so I have followed this for a while and have a few thoughts:

1) I've heard more than a few whispers about his infidelity - for example, remember the tv actress who met him and said something along the lines of, it's so sad when someone has a good family man image and turns out to be different? There are lots of those stories.

2) I've heard shouts about her drug use - and frequently it's blamed on her being very unhappy with her life. It is hard to constantly pretend you have the perfect life when you don't. Can you imagine how much worse it would be if your husband pretended to worship you in public but treated you indifferently in private?

3) I completely believe they were on the verge of separation near the kites release (Mori or no Mori) - but worked it out. Part of that "working it out" was him helping her start her business - the plans were announced right after she started playing happy families again.

4) Her family are largely "d bags" (to borrow Abby's phrase). Her mother stayed with her husband through a notorious affair (maybe a second marriage). Her father is a violent womanizer. Her brother and brother in law are druggies. They all see HR as a valuable commodity. I have no doubt they would want Sussane to stay in that marriage no matter what. I don't think their support of HR means anything other than them not supporting their blood which is exactly what I would expect of them.

5) HR isn't perfect and I sometimes wish he would relax his image a little but I still think he is a good person. I am really disappointed at the wording of his statement and HIS timing for releasing it. (I don't always believe Miss Malini - but here I think she was right and this has been on the cards a long time). This timing was HR not Sussanne. He chose what day to release this statement and threw her under the bus. And I will be proud of her if she does NOT respond. It will only get uglier if she does. Her focus should be her kids and what's best for them not her PR.

Good for them. Congrats on starting a new better life for themselves and also saving your kids from the hell it would be if they stayed together for the sake of the society. Hope they both find partners they find happiness with and move on.
