Agreed..Live and let live is all am saying..Ppl are free to believe the gossip or dismiss it as mere speculation..What i find slightly hypocritical is when the same speculation becomes gospel truth when it concerns the celeb you hate..You know like DP fans latching on to all the gossip about Katrina & vice versa..Same with SRK-Salman fans😆 Well, its just human nature i guess😆

Ah well, am not sure why but i wanna clarify my stand here😆 The point i was trying to make was that gossiping is better than getting personal with other members over a random celeb who doesn't even know you exist..There is nothing wrong in defending the celeb you like..Personally, i was referring to those who abuse each other and get personal with others merely because they happened to criticize the celeb they like..And no, gossip is just that..Gossip..Ppl are free to believe it or dismiss it as speculation..Thats all i was trying to say😆

Yup its human nature. I dont judge people because of that. We see a bit of ourselves in the stars we like. So when that person is accused of doing something wrong we try and give them the benefit of doubt. And we happily latch on whatever tidbit of positive information we get too for the same reason.

I dont think the topic maker or anyone else is asking people to stop gossiping. She is just wondering how true it could be. 😆

@Lunza...the point that fans 'explain' their stars is perfectly okay...as long as they don't consistently challenge people who choose to criticize their favorite stars!

To each his own.

And I again say, that gossip...malicious or otherwise is not wrong, as long as it is not hurting anyone. And I believe that WE, on India Forums have absolutely no authority or the ability to hurt any star in any which way possible.

So if somone chooses to spread gossip about a certain star, I don't see why it hurts others so much. You defend your star as much as you want...who has stopped you?

But if you pick up on those who choose to gossip and criticise, then do expect the same back!

And if you think that people have a condescending attitude towards fandom...then trust me the reverse is also true...fandom also has a condescending attitude towards the critics and so-called gossip mongers!

And this post is not directed towards you or anyone else...I am just making a general statement.

Lol..I got your point... I was actually referring to the remarks passed in the gossip thread (and some other threads too) about fans when they chose to not believe a piece of gossip

saying they are delusional, close minded etc etc .. Isnt that getting personal too?

I am sort of saying the same thing you are ... just saying it from the "fans' perspective" ...

Sorry to barge in to your conversation. I read your comments and agree with your pov. It's sad but we judge others in general and that is why things turn ugly when one cannot agree to disagree. Gossip should be digested with a pinch of salt :)
