Naseer, Sanjeev Kumar, Guru Dutt, Balraj Sahni are much better actors than Amitabh or SRK but it didn't help them to be the biggest stars. Neither they receive praises or accolades like Big B or SRK.

Same for Madhuri, it isn't only acting, she had a star power, beauty and popularity. And that's why they praise her.

Don't get too excited people. this happens every time. The same industry used to wag their tongues for Rani Mukerjee and Preity Zinta in the same manner, giving them so many titles and saying they are the next sridevi and madhuri and what not.

Deepika is good but comparing her to madhuri is little too much.

This also happened to Vidya.

In a few years Vidya and Deepika will end up like Rani/Preity...They will be jobless hasbeens and will completely be forgotten. This is Deepika peak, may she enjoy it and appreciate it...But its all going to be over soon.

That said..Maduri is def not your greatest actress ever that came out of Bollywood..but it's still ridiculous to compare DP to Maduri..she was Queen of Bollywood for a long time..and Deepika has been successful for only what..one year? I don't think Deepika is a better actress than Maduri. Actually I find Maduri a more natural actress than DP and plus Maduri is a complete package..she's a better dancer, better screen presence, and prettier than DP.

^ oh my bad. That your right..staying at the top is hard. That's why I said DP having only been recently declared no. 1 can't be compared to Maduri and Serdevi who were the queen of Bollywood for a long time. It's too soon for DP to be compared to Maduri. Actually it's even too soon for her to be compared to Katrina let alone Maduri. As Katrina proved twice she can give hits without khans and Ranbir. DP only proved it with RL. We can't make a conclusion about her boxoffice pull based on one film.
