'A lot of thought goes into the title'

Prabhu Deva has been busy with the promotions of his latest project R... Rajkumar (releasing on December 6) with Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles.

The title of the film ran into a little controversy as it was initially called Rambo Rajkumar' but soon, it was all sorted.

However, what got the better of people's curiosity was Shahid's unkempt look in the film and the storyline, that is based in and around a hamlet in Madhya Pradesh.

Prabhu Deva has managed to smuggle in the dancing style and body language of South Indian cinema into Bollywood and that seems to have worked well with the audience. And this South Indian flavour has seeped into the titles as well.

"The title is the most important thing because that's the first thing that brings people to watch the movie. There's a lot of thought that goes into the title of every project," Prabhu tells Metrolife even as he is busy touring the country.

What's also interesting is that the movie has already found its way into comic books. "I heard that it has been made into a comic book and I think this is the first time that a movie has been made into a comic series even before its release. I am glad," Prabhu shares.

Prabhu swears that the audience will love Shahid's character in the first half of the movie.
"His rugged, unkempt look and ruffian-like ways are lovable. Shahid has had to train extra hard and master some of the stunt moves. He even hurt himself in the process but that didn't stop him from outperforming his role," feels Prabhu.

Thanks to Sonakshi's bold ways, Prabhu chose her to play the female lead and has portrayed her in a strong light. She wears a rough attitude and has also attempted a few fight sequences for the first time. "Sonakshi has several stunts. She hails from a small town where the women are gutsy and taught to be bold. She stands out for her flawless action on screen but more than that, the chemistry between Shahid and Sonakshi has worked out pretty well," observes Prabhu.
