The advance booking for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming magnum opus Ramleela has began. The opening day advance bookings for the film kicked off to a good start. Occupying good space at most single screens in foremost metropolitan cities of India, the start has been magnanimous.

The film's first shows are more than 40% booked in Delhi N.C.R circuit and in 30%-35% range in Mumbai Circuit. The noon shows in a few single screens of Kolkata saw a nearly 85-90% occupancy already which is fabulous. The first days shows in Pune too saw an occupancy in the range of 35%-50% varying depending on the screens. The noon shows of the film in Chennai too saw a soaring occupancy with many theaters recording over 80% occupancy already.

In Hyderabad too, the film saw a hefty opening day occupancy ranging above 80% in most theaters. In film's lead actress Deepika Padukone's hometown Bangalore, the film witnessed a 60% occupancy in most single theaters. Expected to open with a thud, the film being the latest offering from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's brand of work will be an welcome break from the regular masala
