ive neverr heard of spray painting to get white. to tan, yes, but not to whiten.

what you guys are talking about is simply a case of makeup and most importantly LIGHTING. lighting lighting and lighhting people. the kind of lighting used makes a BIG diff. soft yellow lights give a diff impression as do harsh white lights.

and again, these are celebs..they most likely do not use skin whitening treatment but probably use skin britening treatments theres a difference. it wont turn a pc and deepika into a katrina or kareena but itll make ur skin look bright and EVEN.

Here is a man who's been painted white.
[Photo of male model being bodypainted to appear as a painting in the style of Mondrian, during a charity art benefit in Seattle, 4/30/99]

Body painting is very common in the movie industry, especially for fantasy films, sci-fi films.

Here is link where you can read about it and see additional photos.

May be they don't need to apply those every day (side effects etc.) just like botox. People don't apply bleach creams (Fem etc.) every single day, do they?

@ bold: Probably.

Oh! How did I forget. They use lasers too to be fair. It's very common in India now.

Contrary to popular belief, bleach cream hardly lighten your skin. It just changes the color of your dark hair on face to blondish tone.

Ya I think its laser type some procedure. Am not sure though.

Or maybe the skin lightening treatment lost its effect gradually throughout the day 😆

Yes gals people can get chemical peels and they don't need to get them every day its like one treatment every 15 to 20 days apart and yes they can get it all over the body too..All they need to do is apply the ointments and creams everyday 😃
I know this for sure cause like 5 girls in my family alone( who are obsessed with fair skin) got it done and now they changed like 5 or 6 shades lighter.. But can't blame them too as all the idiotic uncles and aunties keep them comparing with the fairer ones😡

Mogli I have heard about Lasers for hair removal but for skin lightening too?

Lighting makes a difference. I don't think that there is a dramatic change in DP's color, she looked normal in CE, but I do think that she is one tone lighter. It may just be staying out of the sun or using more sunscreen.
Body bleaching products temporarily lighten body hair and skin. So they may be using those before certain events.

Thank God Bollywood is not as obsessed with skin color as some other Asian women (Japanese especially). They use so many melanin blocking skin products that they have turned ghostly white. But these products cause permanent changes in skin. They make skin thinner and sometimes they give skin a bluish tint which is scary.

Natural is beautiful, everyone should love their color.
