Krrish 3 First Day Box Office Collection : Estimates

Krrish 3 which started on an outstanding note on Friday morning has ended the first day on an average note as the film collected around 18 cr according to early estimates on its first day at the box office.

The film which was released in record number of screens, started off with a bang as the collections in the opening shows were on par with all time record openers like Ek Tha Tiger and Chennai Express showed a considerable drop in afternoon and evening shows which normally happens on working day but the film was also affected by the Pre-Diwali period as the collections in North India and Central India were hit very hard. The film's first day collections look small even if the above factors are considered as the hype and expectations from a huge brand like Krrish are very high.

With Saturday being another Pre-Diwali day and Sunday being Diwali the film's collections will be hit hard for the entire weekend and Monday (Holiday) will determine where the film is heading, releasing the film before Diwali was always a gamble and this time it doesn't seem to be paying off for the producers as the fate of film is now dependent on word of mouth.

Herez the newz for u guys... the Krrish 3 3D version is coming cup with the Ramleela week.. and the longer version of Krrish 3 (some amazingly watchable but edited scenes wii be there).. after 2 weeks from that..

Yup.. seems like I m bluffing...😲 Watch out for those developments.. RR is not just a visionary in film making but also in marketing.. new ideas.. always with tried and tested formula to work first.

Krrish 3 is set to touch just about 300 Crs on Indian BO.. just about there. Take it from me.. the WOM is so gr8.. it doeant need any media support.. the ball is still in the Roshans camp.. when to introduce the 3d and longer versions..

U heard it here firts!!!!!!!!!! Do remember... Mainr future dekh liya hai.. lekin mai future badloonga nahi.. mai to Krrish ka dost hu.. kya aap bhi hai???

Is Diwali really a good time to release? Has there been a been blockbuster that released on Diwali? The movies always seem to suffer due to traditional Poojah. Always felt Christmas and Eid are better dates for a big movie

Lots of big films have released on Diwali...if I am not wrong DDLJ and KKHH...both ATBB were Diwali releases. So was OSO which was a BB. But then those days were different when films used to sustain in theaters for a few weeks.
Now the emphasis is on Day 1 collections and Diwali puja pulls down the figures like it did for Ra1 and JTHJ/SOS. Thats why Christmas and Eid are better for a good day 1 collection in Hindu majority India.
But this year Roshans were in a bad situation...if they waited till post Diwali it would have been a Monday and who releases films on a Monday?

No Records For Krrish 3

There will be no records for Krrish 3 as the early collections show the film has been hit hard by the dull pre-Diwali phase. The collections in areas that normally get hit on Diwali are coming in very low while other areas like Mumbai and South India are better.

The film will not get close to a non holiday opening day record as Delhi/UP, East Punjab, Rajasthan and CI all record low numbers which is the norm for Diwali. The collections in these areas will not do much until Monday.

When the first day number comes in it will look very low to the naked eye considering the hype of the film and what other big hyped films have done in the past but that is the risk you take when you come with a mega film like Krissh 3 in a period like Pre-Diwali.

A film like Krrish 3 should be pulling in the initial numbers but now shockingly a film like Krrish 3 is dependent on reports not spoiling its Monday business which is when the dull period will be over but it will be the 4th day of release for Krrish 3.
