Newsbreak with Sanjay Suri!

Sanjay Suri is all set to join Rahul Bose as the poster boy of independent cinema. His performance in Onir's My Brother Nikhil garnered him critical acclaim and now, he is also part of Onir's second film Bas Ek Pal. Obviously, Sanjay has a weakness for cinema with an independent streak. Rituparno has carved a niche for himself through films like Choker Bali and Raincoat which are pretty much down Sanjay Suri's lane. So it comes as a huge surprise that he has chosen to walk out of Rituparno Ghosh's Sunglass. According to reports, Sanjay Suri did not find the character he was to play in Sunglass exciting enough. As a result he decided to drop the project. But it is not like the two have parted ways on a bad note. Sanjay told a daily that he and Rituparno Ghosh are not working together on this film but they will definitely team up in the future. In the meantime, Rituparno Ghosh has approached South Indian superstar Madhavan to fill in for Sanjay Suri.
