Saif is a good actor but I am afraid to say he don't have same hold over single screen audience as he had over the multiplex audience. So he is a decent solo lead but expecting his film to do some 100 crore business is over estimating his box office prowess.

Only I agree with Omkara, but he didn't overshadow anyone in other films

He is not good in thrillers and Agent Vinod was a prime example. I liked him in period roles like Parineenta. Perhaps he should do something again like that. 😉

In Race 1, i felt Saif was good.. but Akshaye khanna completely stole d show .. everything revolved around Akshaye's character nd performance wise also i felt Akshaye was better.,.

Saif isnt just capable of being a hero...he's nailed it.

He's mastered almost all genres out there, from comedy, to romance, to negative, to period. And not just attempted them, but NAILED them.

Time for him to attempt to woo the single screens for the first time in a full fledged rustic masala avatar. Best of luck, Pataudio!

He is a good actor but he needs specific roles that are well-written like Omkara. Movies like Cocktail and LAK are ommerical successes but add nothing to his value as an actor.

And he picks movies like AV and GGG--complele waste of his talent. He needs to re-group and pick better roles.

well said... he has potential and the talent but like u said it gets over-shadowed - in cocktail I really liked him... the transition his character went through from being a Casanova who sleeps around and doesn't believe in love to someone who fell in love with a girl who was the complete opposite to what he ever wanted in a girl. I think saif pulled it off convincingly. 😃
