Q. Can Finding Fanny put up better figures than Mary Kom as both have similar titles but here the lead is a bigger star Deepika Padukone and a better supporting cast, also a better response than Mary Kom in social media and digital world?

Ans. The only plus is Deepika Padukone otherwise it does not have much going for it. The normal film goer does not care for the film and the ones who are going to watch will be elite audience who know that the film is probably a copy some European film but that is to their tastes. Basically it can do business in Mumbai, Bangalore, South Delhi and Gurgaon but that won't be enough to take it to the levels of Mary Kom.

😆 BOI trashes FF like no other.

I hope they're proved wrong. 😈

her sari for jhalak is bad the fitting is weird

but why should it be compared to marykom?

marykom released with big number of screens

fanny is releasing with only 900 screens its less

than mardaani, which was lesser than marykom screens.

hny, tamasha, bajirao can be compared to deepika's other films

or other big films but fanny is a niche english film

the only films it can be compared to are delhi belly, split wide open etc

Why is Finding Fanny being compared to Mary Kom? 😕 Apples and oranges.

The budget of FF is 12 crore including promotions, if they make that much opening weekend, they are good. I'm sure they've made some profit from the music or tv rights. Everyone knows the screens are limited, around 800, and it's a niche film so no one is expecting sky-rocketing numbers. It's getting fantastic reviews, which means WOM will be good, hopefully.

^^ You guys missed the point. BOI said FF is a copy of 'some European film' which its elite audience knows before actually going to watch it. I found the copy of some European film remark pretty offensive, since BOI really should concentrate on its BO prospects, and not commenting on a film they have yet to see.
