CE couldn't break Salman's ETT's first day record, but it has gone 20+ crores past every other movie as far as weekend figures go. That is an incredible feat and apart from Krrish 3 and Dhoom 3, I don't see any movie beating that figure. The movie has to be accepted as well. Dabbang 2 had the chance but it was an awful movie.

Salman's Mental wont beat any opening record--day, weekend, or week. It's not that large scale movie on the lines of Kick. It's relatively small for a Salman Khan movie.

SRK was going through a bad run because of his movie choices. He picked the right masala movie now, and it's turning tides. As I've said before, the record of 3I and ETT is very much in jeopardy now. If CE sustains from Tuesday onwards, 200 crores is a strong possibility.

How is the paid previews counted as a day?

Paid previews counts because CE opened at 5:15 pm of Thursday in select multiplexes and theaters worldwide. The movie releases all over on Friday, but it ran select shows on Thursday; hence, in terms of figures, either we have to ignore Thursday figures and that's not possible, so the weekend is now counted as 4 days.
