No yaar. Rahul's friends and Grannie were not shown in the end - that was one loop that Rohit should have closed but he didn't. My only grouse in an otherwise very entertaining film. 😆

Chennai Express

I entered the theater determined to like this movie. I had huge expectation after the news of CE's phenomenal business and tbh, I'm not a bit disappointed. Chennai Express is an out and out comedy film. If you understand all the bollywood references then you'll enjoy this movie to the core! It was hilarious! The song conversations, Deepika's accent, Shahrukh's jokes, the songs were quite enjoyable. But personally my favorite part of the film was the climax. I don't why but the way it was put together and portrayed was amazing! Also the songs, all of them were great when I saw them with the film. They kinda went with the flow and were enjoyable!

The cinematography and execution was amazing. Right from his Grandfather's death to him landing on Chennai Express was very smoothly done and pace was consistent throughout. It's very crucial to maintain the pace in films like Chennai Express where comedy is the stronghold and RS did a great job in terms of that. And one thing we've never seen RS do before is give his female protagonist this much screen space! For a slapstick mass entertainer it's hard to imagine female protagonist getting much space but not for CE! Meena was as much of a hero as Rahul!

Acting wise, SRK steals the show as usual. His comic timing, sense of humor is beyond commendable and he's serious when needed. This man is a genius. Next, I'm surprised how much Deepika has improved in terms of acting. Whether it was the south accent, old song references, emotional scenes she portrayed all of them extremely well. Her comic timing is as good as SRK and she really shined throughout the film. Be aware of this hottie because she seems unstoppable now! Everyone else did a great job. The guy who played Tangabilli was perfect for his role. Big, strong, brave and he had his funny moments too! The Punjabi police officer in Komban village was quite funny aswell. Only the father was a misplace IMO. He didn't quite look like a Don he was supposed to be. Otherwise everyone did a great job!

If you have a sense of humor and want to have a great time then this movie is for you! I highly recommend it :)

After all don't underestimate the power of a halwai😉😆

My Movie Review on Chennai Express:

I got the chance to watch this movie yesterday, and here is my particular opinion about this movie,''.. there is no story spoiler,''' so you can read it with confidence,' if you have seen it, as well as have not.

It's a Full-2, for the full family, all Masaala pack, a clean entertainment, which you can watch with your family,'.with no swearing words, double meant dialect, dirty kissing / bed / bath smooching scenes or any kind of sexopsures or vulgarity at all,'. so a clean full-toss family entertainment here, for all age and all class of public,' from Rohit Shetty . a 2:22 min of movie. Comedy, fights, car chases, car-blowing, funny fights,' re-make songs made hotch-potch kindaa funny comedy, and a full-2 entertainment,' Movie is, well predictable without any suspense or turning points,..

This movie can very well be and mainly be more enjoyable by 6-15 years of age group, and that means comedy is not any highly intelligent ones, but even a minor age group can also very well understand about wass' is going on,'. Chennai/Tamil people will be having more advantage, as 50+% dialect spoken is in Tamil ( though, Hindi dictation is given for each , and audience is not kept ignorant ) , so they can understand that flavor and tune of their own language too.

Sure,'..SRK is back ( DDLJ style ) ,' like his old movies in full-2 mood ,'DDLJ, Baadshah, and YessBoss, Main hoon naa style,' and DDLJ style means,'doing the comedy by himself ( remember, those teasing scenes of Kajol in the train ! ) and hence No need of Jhonny Lever, Paresh Rawal, Boman,.. or any third party guys !

It's not a Kjo or Yashji's films like,.. K3G, KKHH, KHNH, VZ,'. But Rohit Shetty's one,.. And hence like the movies Koyla or MHN, he has to do fight scenes, instead of just plain love romance and hence,.. in the end,. There is 15-20 min. of action pack fights,.. !

Those who have seen Rohit Shetty in the Comedy Circus shows as a judge, ( also his Golmaal series ) knows his taste and flavor very well, that,.. he hates the swear words and cunning double meaning dialects and this standard he has very well maintained in this movie too.' so no French kisses,' no double meant or swear words ,.. it's a full family entertainment,'. The members can watch together on a same sofa,..

I think,.. Dipika is very well on the track, to take that rank of among top 3 main stream actress as of today, ( I have not seen yet YJHD ) since, otherwise
IMHO this role could only have been done by Priyanka or say,'.. if you could bring Ash of that time,. When in the movie Taal and HDDCS,.. but No way,.. for KAT,' unless you wanna other flop like Yuvraaj, or that,' not so brilliantly acted Jab taq hai jaan,'

Deepu is full set here, as a a desi madrasan aurat, with needing emotions and the face speaking by itself for all the feelings,.. also being herself also a south Indian,'. She must not had hard time for Tamil tunes and essence ' Laheka. Laheja and Libaaz ! Deepu has picked up the acting strategy very fast, and no wonder about KAT's recent drama in Spain to pull Ranbir and Deepu away from ecah other,.. since, Deepu is in top 3 now, IMO.

Overall,.. it's a worth-watch for onetime watching, and should not bore any,''. 1-2 real songs are also there ( means, do not play in the background like those Raaanjhnaa's AR music songs ) Lungii song is not in the film,.. but, after the movie ends,' it's on the platform,. Just like that similar ,' "Jai ho" song from Slum Dog Millionaire,'

Dipika is shown hardly and over all,'.. in total of in 3-4 diff. Saree dresses ONLY in the entire movie and first half runs, keeping Dipika only in one dress for say 50+ minutes.
Movie remains on the track, through out,...and does not lose its story-line/subject, while diverting you into some unknown twisted arena.

Rest,' few funny and catchy dialect I noted were as follows,''
( those who have seen the movie can relate to it, well. )

1.
Just like in the movie Rang De Basanti, that gori,' when later in an introduction with maaji, reveals to aamir that she was knowing Hindi and she did and could understood anything told so far about her,''. n' likewise,' Dipika reveals later that she can understand Hindi,''. and sings some funny Hindi re-mix kindaa hotch-potch at certain events,..

2.
Maine aisa tau pahele bhi kiya hai,'.. ( while performing DDLJ' last scene of pulling his heroine in,''on a running train,.. )

3.
Hum jahana pe khade ho jaate hai,''. Station wahin se suru hota hai,' Dipika speaks when train's chain is pulled by her cousin goon brothers, like a "play of child".

4.
My name is Rahul and I am not a terrorist,.. ( SRK to Srilankan Police )

5.
Mera naam Rahul hai,' Naam toh sunaa nahin hoga ! ( SRK to an odd Madraasan- Deeps )

6.
Goons: ( pointing at SRK, to the police ) : Yeh aamaara aadami hai !
SRK: Aur,' Tu Meri aurat hai, Kya?

7.
SRK : Tum Miss se Misses ban jaaoogi !
Deeps: Tum Rahul se Late Rahul ban jaayegi !

8. Don't underestimate the power of a common man / Halwaayi

9. ( this very common slogan heard on the internet, many a times )
It's good to be important, but at the same time, it is important to be good,..

10.
SRK: I am not Angelina jolly,'.. ( To a Tamil speaking truck-driver guy, who says smthg in the Tamil, sounding like the same. )

11.
Ms. sub-title ( for Dipika, who always speaks Tamil and then gives Hindi translation )
12. Logon ki train miss ho jaati hai,…… mera platform miss ho gaya,.. !( When SRK could not get off the train, after helping the incomers )

Conclusion : 3.50 out of 5, a clean family value full entertainment Masala for all ages. -- Watch it only in a theater or only in Bluray DVD

( 3.50 since, movie becomes too much for 6-14 yrs ages of minors, in certain areas and has no Hug / Smooches at all. )

*spoiler alert
Just came back now after watching it..*thumps up*
Utterly lame but excessively entertaining... their was not a moment in the first half where I didn't laughed 😆 Depends on the company too.
I think the King is back 😉 He looked really cute in some scenes, he did over acting but I loved it 😳
Some of the scenes were epic.. literally rolling on the floor laughing 🤣
that song part in the train, he was giving hands to the goons and then he realizes he missed his platform, when they threw his 34 thousand 2 hundred something worth rupees Nokia Lumia (sad part 😆), scene with the TT, all the train scenes.🤣 Booty shake song is a turn on, first half was brilliant. I wish Lungi dance was somewhere in the middle, could enjoy it more. some of the scenes where boring.
I really felt bad for Rahul, it wasn't even his fault and he was in such a big mess 🤣 'mein to chutti manane aaya tha, tumne meri chutti kardi'😆
Deepika was impressive too.
that kick scene 🤣 Deepika looked so scary 😆 Thambakalli 🤣
Washing powder meena,
insaan to hoon mein kamina,
par insaan to hoon na Meena 🤣
The characters were also funny, that short guy. when he loses his way and asking for a highway... that was epic 🤣

But Lungi Dance FTW!! 🥳
I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, its worth the money, if you like lame comedy and want to laugh then you should go for it 👍🏼
