Ranbir Kapoor charges 15 cr for Besharam & also for two-hero film Roy?

After Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani set the cash registers ringing at the box office, Ranbir Kapoor has reached a new high and so has his remuneration.

According to sources, the actor who shot a 100-day schedule of Abhinav Kashyap's Besharam for Rs 15 crore has charged the same amount from his close friend and debutante director Vicky Singh for a just a 42-day schedule of Roy.

A source close to the film confirmed and said: "Roy is a two hero film. It has Arjun Rampal alongside Ranbir. But yes, Ranbir has charged his regular fee of Rs 15 crore for the film."

Mirror had earlier reported (Nov 17, 2011) that after the success of Imtiaz Ali's Rockstar, the actor, who had signed Anurag Basu's Barfi! and Ayan Mukerji's Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani for Rs eight crore, was planning to up his price to a whopping Rs 15 crore per film. At present, Ranbir also commands a percentage share of the profits his films make.

well ... he brings in the moolah for the producers .. so I guess it is alright for him to charge his fee .. I wish other technicians could also charge good amount of money ... they probably need their own PRs to bring them in public light.

The thing is that movie making is a team effort. The only reason that these actors are so popular is because the audience get to see them only. Rest everyone else works behind the scene. And yes the good looks and charm help too in making these actors so marketable.

I bet if technicians were given this kind of publicity and were brought in the public eye, even they would be appreciated by public for making any good movie.

So, my point is that I think all of them (actors and technicians) should have their PRs and should be presented more in the public eye so that they all can be considered equally responsible for a movie's success.

As of now, all the profit goes to either the producers or the hero/heroine. They are given royal treatments and so much love/respect whereas other people who work in film units are just given employment for a while and I am sure they are not paid that well.

I understand that a producer is investing money, so he expects some profit. There is nothing wrong with that. But paying hero/heroines so much, and paying others almost negligible in comparison, is totally unfair and sounds really narcissistic. No doubt these hero/heroines think of themselves as some kind of royal clan and show so much attitude and arrogance.

15cr is good for RK but if we compere it with big superstar then he totaly below them we are talking about 30-40 cr for hrithik and the khan

15 cr is good for Roy he is doing a cameo in the film plus profit shares for Besharam.
