Mumbai, June 20 (IANS) Known for her iconic dance moves, Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit is all set to make her debut at the IIFA and says she is very excited about it.
The 14th edition of Videocon DDB IIFA (International Indian Film Academy) weekend will start July 4 and the actress will perform on some of her unforgettable songs on July 6 at the 15,000-seat Cotai Arena in The Venetian Macao.
"I have never been to an IIFA before and I'm very excited to be performing on the IIFA stage for the first time. I think that it a great fit especially since we're celebrating 100 years of Indian Cinema," Madhuri said in a statement.
With 100 years of Indian Cinema being the theme of this year's celebrations, Madhuri will recreate the magic of cinema with her most memorable numbers including "Ghagra" from "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani", "Dance of Envy" from "Dil Toh Pagal Hai" and "Ek do teen", the song that made her a queen of hearts in the 1980s.
The IIFA Awards 2013 will be choreographed by Remo Fernandes.
Deepika will showcase some of her signature moves from the recent hit songs in her most successful films, including "Angrezi beats", "Tum hi ho bandhu" and her most recent "Balam pichkari".
"I'm thrilled to be performing at the IIFA this year. I'll be performing to some of my favourite songs from my recent release 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' and 'Cocktail'. This will also be my first visit to Macau and I hope my fans enjoy my performance," Deepika said in a statement.
The 14th edition of the IIFA awards extravaganza will be held at the Venetian Macao July 6.
Dancing diva Sridevi is all set to match steps with ace choreographer Prabhudeva at the upcoming International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards in Macau this July.
Sridevi, 49, will make her comeback on stage as a performer after many years and will groove on some of her hit numbers including 'Hawa Hawai', 'Na Jane Kahan Se Ayi Hai', English Vinglish' among others from her three decades long career.
The performance is being choreographed by Prabhudeva, who will will set the stage ablaze by showcasing some of his signature moves from 'Muqabala' and many others.
The 14th edition of the Videocon DDB IIFA Weekend will be held in Macau from July 4.
The event is travelling to Macau for a second time after 2009.
