I have to agree with you here. The movies did well cause of the story, the way it was directed, the way all the characters came together to depict the story, and the fact that two ex's are coming together to make a movie (which apparently doesn't happen in Bollywood), but NOT BY ANY MEANS because of her acting skills. It was more of the curiosity of what the story is like, what sort of chemistry do they have onscreen now. In my opinion, so far, she hasn't carried a single movie.

In Race 2, she was more of the sexy prop whose characters and screen presence was mainly as eye candy for the guys/some girls.

In YJHD, I am sorry, her character and how she was dressed just didn't go hand in hand for me. I mean, to make Sharma look sexier, they might as well have made her wear a bra and a thong!! For crying out loud, she's wearing cropped tied shirt and shorts and that too on top of a hill station with snow – Really?!!! Sensibility seem to defy Indian movies. For me, the movie was all about Ranbir. They tried to show her character in the same life situations, but it just didn't work. She is great at looking great, great at dressing sexy, but her acting skills are at a plateau and becoming boring.

At the end of the day her acting skills are not memorable as compared to her costars… so far.
