I've seen a lot of ageist comments on this forum about older actresses like Aishwarya being an "aunty" and I came across a reaction video of Ghagra where someone said she's "old" now and can't be an item girl. Another person said she should "act her age" now. And this was just one song in a movie, could a movie with an older actress and a younger actor ever work in India?

I personally think Madhuri looks really good in the song! And what surprises me the most is that a lot of these people look like they're educated and living in the modern cities.
To put things into perspective: Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan are now 47 years old. Aamir's 48. Ajay Devgan's 44. Akshay Kumar's 45.
Asin, Jaqueline, Deepika and Sonam are 27. Sonakshi's 25. Kareen'a 32. Priyanka's 30. Bipasha's 34.
If there was a love story between an older woman and a younger man with someone like Madhuri cast opposite a younger actor like Ranbir, would you personally watch that? And if you could cast an older woman with an younger actor, who would your cast be?
Do you think the ageist attitude in Bollywood, and to some extent in India as well, ever change?
