I agree with everything except item songs

Not saying that every item song will bring in BO success...but the ones that are successful do bring in lotta money

I heard SAW got this big opening cz of Sunny's item song... I mean there are sections in society who truly enjoy these songs on big-screen & only watch the movie to see some pretty girl shaking her jugs (its sad but that's the reality)

Ya, i didn't mention these 2 specifically, coz the sole ITEM SONG on which film runs was Chikni Chameli more than Sheila or Munni... No doubt Both helped TMK n Dabangg more popularity, but that wasn't sole reason for those success...

Not Dabangg's, but TMK's definitely. And the latter was a Flop btw, it was just Sheila that went on to become a BB.

TMK Is Semi-Hit not flop, so if u think Sheila saved it, big misconception for u... Akki-Farah combo generated enough Hype for it...

The biggest misconception is that stardom runs in the family.

You serious? I read in websites that people got up and left once Sheila had got over with. So yeah, that might've made it a semi-hit. But definitely because of Sheila, that.

There are exceptions. How much have songs like Oh Saaki, Jalebi Bai helped the film? How much did Ishq Kamina help Shakti?

Every item song is not successful in helping boost a film.

And I was talking more about promoting a film solely on basis of an item song.

So true! Every one and their doggie claims to be different and taking on to a risky project. 😆

It's a kind of chit bhi meri patt bhi meri statement. If the film fails call it too different for audience to accept it. If the film succeeds proclaim yourself as some trailblazer or gamechanger who changed face of cinema by achieving success with a "different film".
