Ajith is a very sweet chap, says Shahrukh Khan

Chennai, May 17 (TruthDive): Ajith is a very sweet chap, said Bollywood's Super Star Shahrukh Khan. It looks like in addition to growing Ajith's fan base, he is also becoming the cherry-pick of film celebrities not only in Kollywood but also Bollywood.

King Khan was in Chennai to attend Vijay Annual Awards where he received the Chevalier Sivaji Ganesan Excellence Award.

Speaking on the grand occasion, Shahrukh told The New Indian Express,"Ajith played a small role in Asoka, and back then I never knew how big a star he was. He did not take money for the role and his wife is also very sweet. He stayed with us for five days and even he had a back injury, so we got talking about that."

Shaharukh added that when he mentioned his name, people would not stop applauding him and he realised how big a star Ajith is here down south.

Earlier in 2011, SRK while talking about Thala Ajith and answering a question over the instant success of Mankatha, openly complimented the boldness of Ajith. He recalled how Ajith donned the role of a brother to him in Asoka a decade ago. He said as an upcoming star with a huge fan base, Ajith was too bold to play a baddie by then.

Khan wondered that no great hero would opt for such a role which could spoil his image. But, SRK said if he were asked to do such a role, he will never accept for any sake.

Thala Ajith appears to be a hot favourite among top celebrities. Previously, Sridevi Kapoor had said that Ajith is a delight to work with and a thorough professional.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay's mother Shoba Chandrasekar had said last month that she liked Ajith very much.

Simbu had called Ajith a nice human being. Vijay and Ajith are claimed to be good friends off-screen including their families.
