Salman Khan offers support to Sanjay & Trishala

Just after the news of the Supreme Court's verdict on Sanjay Dutt broke, Dutt's close friend Salman Khan, who was in the United States, called his daughter, New York-based Trishala, and assured her that he would be willing to offer any help that she needed.

A news daily repoted, "The first person Salman called was Trishala, Dutt's daughter from his first wife, who has been away from her father for a long time".

US laws claim that a person, who has been convicted, will not be given a US visa to visit the country. As a result, Dutt wasn't allowed to meet Trishala after his conviction.

Immediately after coming back to India, Salman Khan visited Sanjay Dutt and offered to help Dutt's family in his absence.

After the Supreme Court on Friday dismissed Sanjay Dutt's review petition, he surrendered himself before a TADA court on May 16th and was subsequently sent to Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai.

Salman and Sanjay have not only been co-stars in 'Saajan' and 'Chal Mere Bhai', they have also been great friends and have stood by each other in times of need
