Total mismatch! Your opinion on miscast actors?

Which films made you feel that actor in them was totally miscast?

While changing channels randomly yesterday I came across Sohni Mahiwal starring Sunny Deol and Poonam Dhillon. While Poonam was perfect for the part, Sunny looked laughable, out of place and totally miscast as the lovelorn Mahiwal who dies a tragic death in the end! 😆

Raaj Kumar as Ranjha in the old Heer Ranjha film is another case of an absolute mismatch of actor and role! Jaani as the lover turned jogi? You gotta be kidding me! 😲

So wanted to discuss with you Bolly fanatics here! Your choices of total mismatch between actor and character/film. Which films made you wonder if filmmakers had gone bonkers to cast *this* actor/actress in *that* role?

According to me, out of the recent movies I watched Meera in JTHJ looks totally out of the place. It was just a turn off watching Katrina playing Meera. Thought she was a miscast for the character. Meera was a typical Yash chopra heroine which could have been brilliantly played by Sridevi,Madhuri or Juhi in their prime. Atleast they would have made the love story more believable to me.😛

Another one has to be Saif in cocktail. He was goofy and funny in the movie. And thats about it. They should have taken somebody younger.

I think Sonam Kapoor is all set to be absolute miscast for Khubsoorat remake! That's one iconic film and one of the most enduring roles for any heroine ever (not just for Rekha's career). And I do not think Sonam can do justice to that film or that role. Forget stepping in Rekha's shoes!
I shudder to think of another classic being mauled!

Another sore thumb is Sunil Shetty in Border! Yuck! What was that shouting "Shaktiii" and yeh mitti nahi yeh meri maa hai in his lame style of dialogue delivery?! Among stalwart actors like Sunny, Jackie, Akshaye etc. here was this man who had macho looks but NO expressions and ZERO in dialogue department! How I wish someone like Ajay Devgan had done that role instead of him!

The scenes with Sunil are supposed to evoke emotion and patriotism but for me he was only a laughing stock in the otherwise epic war film Border!

True! Rishi K looked like Divya's tau in that film!

He made blunder agreeing to have SRK in the film as second hero. SRK with Divya stole the limelight and made Rishi-Divya pair look absolutely odd!

Definitely Katrina in JTHJ. ANYONE else would have done a better job. I can't fathom what possessed YRF to pick her for a role that required acting.

Saif was totally out of place in Cocktail too.

Alia looks too young to me--so when I think of 2 States where she has to play an IIM graduate I really wonder if she can pull it off.

Film Shabd Aish opposit sunjay dut and zayed khan

I was resisting from writing this...but I feel Aishwarya Rai was miscast in Umrao Jaan remake! For all her legendary beauty, she was not a patch on the original immortalised by Rekha! It was a showcase or a costume drama. No way a story. (Such a role should've been given to Madhuri when she was in her prime)

Vidya Balan's casting in Kismat Connection was a joke!

Many have named Katrina in JTHJ. Hehe! She's the very reason why I was never able to finish that film. Whenever I sit down to watch it, I somehow lose interest and switch off the TV. (No offense to Katrina fans but I genuinely feel that role was out of her grasp)
