chameli movie itself was a major disappointment. sudhir took over when Anant Balani died and i felt sudhir didn't do full justice to the film. he kinda rushed this one, somehow completed it. i bet his treatment would have been different if this was his movie from the beginning.

yes it was good to see kareena take this one, but just to take a project like this or star in an off beat kinda movie doesn't qualify you or slot you in that good parallel cinema actress. no way her performance was a milestone in her career or anything like that. i felt it was an average to below average performance. the rawness was a miss here.

i liked her performance in dev and yuva much more than chameli.

chameli in my book is one of kareenas overrated performance.

She has improved as an actress since Chameli. I think she acted really well in Heroine but wasn't appreciated much for it. She is the only one from the current lot that can pull off any kind of role.
